Trust you all followed yesterday’s keynote from Apple? I sat here at the office feverishly refreshing the MacWorld liveblog. If you missed anything, Gizmodo has a great roundup. The most exciting points for me were:
- Refresh of the MacBook line! The white MacBook specs were kicked up a couple of weeks ago, and is the last remaining MacBook. The 13″ unibody has also been kicked up in specs and is now a Pro, and as of yesterday, the entire MacBook Pro line has dropped drastically in price. They all come with an SD slot now, too!
- iPhone 3.0 coming out on the 17th. I went apeshit over the presentation a few months ago, so I won’t go over it all again, but an added bonus is the Find My iPhone app for MobileMe Users.
- Snow Leopard coming out in September. Everything is faster and the upgrade is insanely cheap if you’re already on Leopard.
- iPhone 3GS: Probably the most exciting thing for everyone. It’s faster than the iPhone 3G, +1 megapixel on the camera, video capture, voice control, and compass. Big step up, but since we just upgraded, it’s not enough for me to pay $500!
I’m glad I didn’t jump the gun and upgrade my MacBook to a Pro a month ago. Papi and I probably won’t see an iPhone upgrade until at least November, but I’m not sweating it so hard as my new P&S has HD video capture. That being said, I’m hoping to cop one of the 13″ MBP’s in a bit. We’ll see how the funds go.
